Music Can Lift Us Up

All Saints has a rich and varied music tradition. Music ministry plays a dynamic role in our faith community,
leading us in worship and cultivating opportunities to make music whenever we gather.
Worship and prayer are woven into the life of our parish.

A Century of Music & Worship

While not every service has music, song has been an important part of worship for nearly a century at All Saints. In addition to our Adult Sanctuary choir, we also have a hand bell choir known as “All Saints Ringers.” The vocal choirs and handbell choir support our worship and perform at special services and concerts throughout the year. All Saints music also features prominently at Frederick’s annual Candlelight Tour of Historic Houses of Worship.

Music Director, Jesse Ratcliffe

Jesse began his career as a church musician at the age of twelve. He is a graduate of Concord University (Athens, WV) and Shenandoah Conservatory (Winchester, VA). In addition to his work as an organist and choral director is he also an accomplished carillonneur, and was the first recipient of the Performance Diploma awarded by the North American Carillon School (Springfield, IL).

You can reach him at 301-663-5625 or you may email him at  .

Adult Choir

Open to high schoolers with choral experience and adults, the Adult Choir is the primary music leadership for the 10 a.m. Eucharist service in the Historic Church. Additional liturgies include evensong, compline, Lessons and Carols, and Christmas holiday celebrations.

The Adult Choir rehearses during the program year (September – May) on Thursdays at 7:30PM – 9PM.

All Saints Ringers

All Saints Ringers uses our 3 octave set of bell and chimes and plays special services throughout the year. Handbell choir members need to be able to read music, and attendance at rehearsals is essential to the success of this group. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about this wonderful opportunity.

The All Saints Ringers rehearse during the program year (September – May) on Thursdays at 6:30PM-7:15PM.

All Saints Instruments

All Saints musical instruments include our Allen organ, which was purchased and installed in 2016. The three-manual organ has over 70 stops and six divisions. Our historic Roosevelt organ was built in 1826 and has 245 pipes and five stops. We also have two baby grand pianos.
