Episcopal Diocese of Maryland Civil Rights Pilgrimage to Alabama
Would you like to join the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland on its Eastertide pilgrimage from Maryland to Alabama? Thanks to technology, you can virtually walk with Bishop Carrie and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission pilgrims to the places where God’s people lived into resurrection hope, through public witness, where iconic events in the civil rights movement happened. The pilgrims in Alabama will share daily reflections and experiences with you in a variety of ways – prayers, photos, images, and videos will be available on our Facebook page, through emails, and on our Maryland Episcopalian storytelling website. We are seeking prayer partners to hold our pilgrims in prayer from April 21-25 on this holy journey, and we invite you to sign up and receive daily messages to pray with us, and learn more about the historic civil rights sites we visit.

Jill Browning and Rixey Hoult from the All Saints Truth and Reconciliation Committee will be on this pilgrimage. Please hold them in prayer, along with the other pilgrims, as they follow the path of America’s civil rights movement.
