Special Challenge Camp

Special Challenge Camp week is a 5 day, 4 night program for high functioning adults with intellectual disabilities and is held at the Bishop Claggett Center, in Buckeystown, MD. This Camp has been in operation since 1978 and this will be All Saints' 20th year in supplying volunteers!

This year’s theme will connect with Claggett’s summer theme of “Outcasts and Underdogs.”  There are plenty of ways you can help out and No experience is necessary.  We will provide you with all the information you need to be part of this amazing experience.  Children under 14 may volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult.  Below is a brief outline of this year’s volunteering opportunities at camp:

Sunday July 21  
12:00 PM: Help set up
2:00 PM: Arts & Crafts

Monday July 22
9:30 AM: Chapel
10:00 AM & 1:30 PM: Arts & Crafts

Tuesday July 23 
9:30 AM: Chapel
10:00 AM & 1:30 PM: Arts & Crafts
10:00 AM & 1:30 PM: Woodworking
1:30 PM: Olympics

Wednesday July 24  
9:00 AM: Chapel
10:15 AM: Dog Show
10:00 AM & 1:30 PM: Arts & Crafts
10:00 AM & 1:30 PM: Woodworking
3:00 PM: Decorate for Dinner Dance

Thursday July 25 
9:30 AM: Chapel with Eucharist
10:30 AM: Clean Up
