Weekly bible study
On Monday evenings, beginning September 12th, we will be gathering on Zoom to discuss the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday. We will be meeting from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. The session will be guided by The Rev. Elaine Prince; the Zoom will be hosted by Lynn Gebrowsky.
Each week, we will be using a Bible Study format as follows:
Reading one translation of the appointed Gospel with the question:
“What word or phrase stands out for you as you hear this passage read?”
Reading another translation of the appointed Gospel with the question:
“What is the ‘good news’ or the ‘new news’ heard by the people who first were present in this passage?”
Reading a third translation of the appointed Gospel with the question:
“What idea, word, or phrase speaks to you in the events in our world today, in our community of faith and in your life?
