FALL 2022 SERIES ON FORGIVENESS

The Rev. Joe Pagano and the Rev. Amy Richter are offering a new class on forgiveness at All Saints’ this fall. The class will be a revised version of a course we previously taught at the Ecumenical Institute in Baltimore. We will explore forgiveness from psychological, philosophical, theological and pastoral perspectives. The format of the class will involve presentations and discussions.

The books we plan to focus on are the following:

  • Forgiveness is a Choice: A Step-By-Step Process for Resolving Anger and Restoring Hope by Robert Enright
  • Forgiveness: A Philosophical Exploration by Charles Griswold
  • Forgiveness: A Theology by Anthony Bash
  • The Book of Forgiving by Desmond and Mpho Tutu

Readings are recommended but not required.

We will offer the class if we have a minimum of 12 participants (in person). We would like to meet midweek at All Saints and will schedule the day and time in consultation with the interested participants. Once we set an in-person gathering day and time, we can look into how best to share this opportunity with people who are unable to join in person.

If you are interested, please let Joe know at 301-579-0952 or jpagano@allsaintsmd.org
