A New Class on African American Theology and Ethics—In the new year, the Rev. Joseph Pagano, PhD, will offer a short version of his university course on African American Theology and Ethics. Required readings will be from the following: Jeffrey Brodd et al, Invitation to World Religions; Peter Paris, Virtue and Value: The African and African American Experience; Albert Raboteau, Canaan Land: A Religious History of African Americans; Albert Raboteau, American Prophets: Seven Religious Radicals & Their Struggle for Social and Political Justice; and Milton Sernett, editor, African American Religious History: A Documentary Witness (2nd edition). The class will meet for 10 weeks. Dr. Pagano will offer the class if there are at least 12 committed members. Please contact Dr. Pagano at jpagano@allsaintsmd.org if you are interested.
