Community Conversations about Racism Summer Schedule – Aug 17 Update
Community Conversations about Racism Summer schedule
Hosted by Asbury UM and All Saints’
Join us Thursday nights at 7pm- 8:30 for zoom conversation about our local experience of racism.
Here is our summer schedule:
Through sharing our stories in this brave space of trust and love we are discovering relationships that can heal this world. We have returned to our original format, watching a video clip together or reflecting on a text and then spending the rest of the time in conversation about the material and a question it raises for us.
We are discerning how we are being called into action.
On August 28 we will participate in the Asbury Block Party. Volunteers are needed.
We have been invited to join with our neighbors at Asbury UMC in helping and participating in their COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY. This is a great way to build community and to have some fun! Make sure you save some time to also stroll the street, eat some food, and meet some new friends. Asbury has offered to provide us with a tent so we will have a bit of shelter. Bring water, sunscreen, a portable chair if you wish, and a smile.
Thank you to the people who have signed up so far. There’s plenty of slots open for more folks to get involved.
