In May Outreach will be supporting "SIMPLE MINISTRIES", an organisation which helps the homeless in Frederick. Their stated mission is "To embody the gospel through tangible actions - serving, loving, listening and speaking." They meet every Tuesday evening of the year at the Econolodge, in all weathers, where they connect with homeless people living there and nearby in the woods, who have come to know and trust them. In faith, they strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those they encounter. They are a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Simple ministries is a diverse group from various churches working to spread love, compassion, and the message of hope. In building relationships, they are working to establish a sense of community and connect them with resources and opportunities that pave the way for progress. Their commitment extends to helping with shelter solutions, food assistance, clothing, and support for advancement. WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP? Here's their wish list: Camping supplies - tarpaulins, blankets, tents etc. Clothing - socks, T shirts. Small First Aid kits. Batteries - AA C and D.Gift cards - Walmart, Food Lion etc. Large tent - 8 - 10 person size, for a family. (This is a big item which might be a group contribution for a family or one of our ministries!) Donations may be left on the table in the lower gathering space. Thank you!
